Job Summary
Mig weld automotive lift components and place parts on the paint line. Drive forklift as needed and assist in assembly and fabrication processes. Support 6S initiatives with a focus on safety and suggest process improvements to ensure quality and efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday and every other Friday. Compensation starts at $20.19/hr with attendance incentives and a $2 shift differential. Candidates must be certified in horizontal mig welding, read blueprints, and wear full PPE including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to be certified in mig welding in the horizontal position
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Basic blueprint reading
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of process interaction
- Strong problem solving skills
- Understanding general manufacturing
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours
- Must be able to periodically lift up to 50 pounds
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable)
- Must adhere to safety guidelines
