Job Summary
Conduct welding on required thicknesses and materials including AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese using proper filler metals. Perform independent fitting and assembling of parts while training others, and read blueprints to determine necessary tools and machinery for the production schedule. Complete final inspections to ensure quality standards are met, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and perform required monthly safety training and preventive maintenance on department machinery. Work the 2nd shift from 2:15pm to 1:45am Monday through Thursday, subject to mandatory overtime.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience
- The ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts
- Attention to Detail and thoroughness with all tasks
- The ability to make decisions and follow through
- The ability to perform multiple welding disciplines such as GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW
- 2:15pm - 1:45 am Monday - Thursday
- subject to mandatory overtime
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Welding certification preferred but not required
