Job Summary
Obtains necessary stock, fixtures, tooling, and gauging; performs weld tech functions including pre and post heat parts, applying coatings, and polishing on lathe. Executes all weld preparation and in-process inspection as a certified operator while performing computer transactions and moving parts within the module. Maintains general housekeeping and cleans machines. Requires U.S. citizenship, high school diploma, and MIG/TIG welding skills. Hourly rate is $29.03. This onsite role at Collins Aerospace supports precision manufacturing for global aerospace and defense systems.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- preferably technical school background
- demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing)
- MIG and/or TIG welding
- Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
- Competent with hand tools
- experienced with weld equipment
- Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval
- ability to obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job
