Job Summary
Provide active, constant supervision while interacting with program youth during daily routines, including meals, hygiene, classroom instruction, and therapeutic group sessions. Implement and enforce programmatic guidelines while teaching appropriate behavior management and coping techniques. Actively engage in school, group, and free-time activities, utilizing de-escalation strategies to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Interact with youth and families in a trauma-responsive manner and complete all required documentation prior to shift end. Work the 2nd shift (2:30 pm–10:30 pm) on Saturdays and Sundays, with a requirement for a clean criminal background check and valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 20 years of age
- Have a valid driver's license
- Proof of current auto insurance
- No DUI/OVI violations
- No more than 5 points on your MVR
- A clean criminal background check
- Saturday and Sunday are required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience in serving at-risk youth
- Previous work experience in a Residential Treatment Program
- A working knowledge of behavioral interventions
- A willingness and comfort level in providing services to a diverse population of clients
- Ability to handle physical activities
- Ability to handle recreational activities
