2nd Shift Weekend - A&P Mechanic

Job Summary
Complete assigned maintenance tasks on transport category aircraft in accordance with approved ratings, policies, and procedures. Accurately document all work, communicate updates to the Lead Mechanic or enter data into the NSA-MF-22 form, and notify the Inspection Department for Required Inspection Items. Properly segregate removed components, maintain tool inventory, and return all tools to the tool room at shift's end. Perform maintenance per job cards, engineering orders, and manuals while adhering to the Repair Station Manual. Work indoors and outdoors in varying climates with exposure to noise, chemicals, and confined spaces. Requires a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate, three years of documented maintenance experience, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Minimum of three (3) years of documented, verifiable maintenance experience on transport category aircraft
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, climb (stairs and ladders), crouch, kneel, and lift items over 50 pounds
- Capable of prolonged standing (up to 8 hours), walking (up to 6 hours), and sitting (up to 2 hours)
- Must have the ability to use hand tools, perform repetitive motions, and work in varied physical positions
- Vision must be sufficient to read technical manuals, drawings, blueprints, and work on digital devices
- Must be able to detect specific sounds (equipment operation), differentiate colors, and follow precise visual instructions
- Ability to comprehend, retain, and apply detailed oral and written instructions
- Capable of making decisions that affect immediate and adjacent work areas
- Able to organize and communicate technical information clearly and effectively
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Able to understand and convey complex instructions, complete detailed documentation, and interact effectively with team members
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and accurately in fast-paced or high-stakes environments
- Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and function effectively in a diverse team environment
- Safety-conscious and proactive in identifying and addressing hazards
- Must be available for weekend 2nd shift (Friday through Monday, 3pm-1:30am)
