Job Summary
Armed Vault Custodian role focusing on maintaining inventory in cash vaults for Loomis customers. Responsibilities include checking numbers/seals on deposit bags against receipts/manifests, counting items and recording amounts, loading/unloading bags and coins, sorting cargo, communicating with colleagues and customers, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The position requires lifting up to ~50 lbs per item repeatedly, standing/walking for long portions of the shift (up to 80% on concrete floors), and the ability to read/write and perform arithmetic on receipts and manifests. A valid firearms permit or ability to meet state firearms requirements is required. Schedule is full-time (average 40-50 hours/week, 5 days in a 6-day period). Required Qualifications
- A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms requirements per state
- Load/unload bags/boxes of currency, checks, and coin weighing an average of 50 lbs. per item
- Lift weights and perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Walk, stand, bend, stoop, and move between vaults and counters for extended periods
- Read and sign receipts, manifests, and reports; count and balance columns of numbers
