Job Summary

Conduct first response, fire prevention, traffic control, and physical property patrols while monitoring personnel and investigating property damage, motor vehicle accidents, and criminal acts. Perform surveillance of guests and employees for theft or suspicious activity, gather and document evidence, and interview guests regarding trespassing offenses. Address and resolve complaints within the security scope, work with law enforcement on reportable crimes, and testify in court or depositions as a witness. Maintain shift documentation and comply with company policies and applicable laws.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three months related experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to get and maintain a TN Security License
  • Valid Tennessee Driver's License with F endorsement or ability to obtain one within 30 days
  • Ability to be covered by and maintain company insurance
  • F License Endorsement within 3 months of hire
