Job Summary
Support manufacturing, production, material handling, and quality-related activities across multiple production areas while adhering to standard work practices and safety procedures. Operate assigned equipment to perform setup, loading, catching, trimming, wrapping, banding, assembly, and roll-forming tasks using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication-related machinery. Monitor machine output, assist operators with basic troubleshooting, and ensure quality control is performed at each work center based on QC standards and customer feedback. Maintain a clean and organized work area, complete end-of-shift housekeeping, and train new hires on equipment and procedures. Cross-train in additional production areas as business needs require. Work primarily in a manufacturing environment with active tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 55 pounds, wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift materials or tools weighing up to 55 pounds
- Ability to work in loud, non-temperature-controlled environments exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by site policy
- Ability to perform fine motor skills including reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and bending
- Ability to climb, crawl, and sit occasionally
- Ability to interact with machinery, moving objects, and vehicles
- Ability to read and apply measurements using standard tools and perform necessary mathematical calculations
- Ability to understand cost control and financial impacts on the team
- Ability to learn and apply new production processes or systems within established training timelines
- Ability to cross-train and perform duties in multiple production areas as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
