Job Summary
Lead the MagStop Value Stream team by ensuring 5S compliance, updating Daily Management boards, and maintaining a safe working environment through immediate safety intervention and associate coaching. Address quality concerns and defects throughout the shift, conduct training on standard work, machine operations, and daily priorities, and champion consistent standard work methodology. Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to solve issues, interface with shift leaders to pass information, and communicate personnel, safety, or productivity concerns to supervision. Operate within a team-based manufacturing cell for 40% of the time while subject to standard overtime rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be considered current 'expert' in the area
- Must be considered a 'Champion of Lean'
- Previous experience required
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, safety rules, quality instruction and process documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, clients and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must stand 100% of the day
