Job Summary

Welder position responsible for reading blueprints/drawings/specifications to fabricate large diesel-fuel tanks up to 60 feet long and 13 feet wide (3,000–10,000 gallons). Duties include preparing materials, setting up and operating welding equipment, welding components in multiple positions, inspecting welds for quality, completing quality checklists, maintaining a safe work environment with required PPE, reporting hazards, collaborating with team members to meet production goals, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires ability to read blueprints/drawings, weld with manual or semi-automatic equipment, work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, and adhere to safety protocols. Background check and drug screening required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Welding certification preferred
  • 2+ years of welding experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy equipment
  • Experience with 7024 welding rods and .045 wire MIG preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety regulations and PPE requirements
  • Reliable, responsible, and respectful team player
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Work environment and physical demands including standing for 8–10 hours, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs (OSHA)
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions
