Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Supervisor will lead and coordinate teams in manufacturing to meet production schedules while ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. Responsibilities include orienting and developing staff, mentoring and counseling team members, assigning work, assisting in production scheduling and planning, auditing quality and safety processes, and performing HR-related tasks such as performance evaluations. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, experience with production systems and techniques, and the ability to manage resources and drive continuous improvement in a machine shop/production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of two (2) years experience or equivalent experience in a production environment
- Previous experience with machine shop, stamping, assembly, or plastic injection molding environments a plus
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of production systems and techniques
- Ability to understand and use work planning skills
