Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of paint line, assembly, and welding workers by communicating job expectations, planning, and monitoring production results. Assigns personnel and resources to complete production plans while resolving problems and revising schedules as needed. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees to enforce company systems and maintain optimum staff levels through timely training. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating direct reports on equipment use and OSHA policies. Ensures equipment operation by alerting maintenance for repairs and facilitates timely corrections to malfunctions. Compiles and analyzes production performance records to provide manufacturing information to management. Requires high school diploma, minimum five years assembly/machinist experience, two years supervisor experience, and reliable transportation. Located in Clarence, NY, with a pay rate of $63K-90K/year.
Required Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Knowledge of machines and tools, of a metal fabrication job shop
- Ability to anticipate and determine the causes of delay in shift operations and take appropriate action to meet shipping deadlines
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
- Apply excellent judgement and have the ability to make decisions
- Motivate, empower, and build trust with team members
- Has proficient knowledge of assembly and machine processes
- Basic knowledge of computer programs, i.e., word, excel, Microsoft Office
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of assembly/machinist experience
- Minimum 2 years supervisor experience
