Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor oversees production workers and lines on the assigned shift to maximize productivity while upholding quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising the production process, monitoring quantity and quality, verifying adherence to specifications and schedules, maintaining production records and reports, troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement corrections, advising on equipment maintenance or repair, ensuring training for current and future shift needs, coordinating with other shift supervisors for smooth handovers, promoting safe practices, and maintaining housekeeping. Demonstrates capability to interpret safety and operating manuals, communicates effectively with employees, and applies problem-solving and basic math/geometry concepts as part of daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or recognized equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Qualification on subordinate-level jobs required
