Job Summary
Operate fabrication shop machinery including cutoff saws, shears, and presses to cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures. Read blueprints and job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Set stops or guides to specified lengths, measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy, and detect defects or machine malfunctions. Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, and scale from workpieces while performing minor maintenance such as oiling machines and dies. Ensure compliance with Daifuku's QMS policies and sustainable process outputs. Full-time 2nd shift Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm with LOTO and crane operation certifications required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read exact measurements on a tape measure without assistance
- Must be able to read blueprints
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
- LOTO certification required
- Crane operation certification required
- Availability to work on Saturdays as needed
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred but not required
