Job Summary
2nd Shift Shop Maintenance role focused on maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and building systems. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors; documenting inspections and repairs; selecting repair parts; performing welding, brazing, and soldering; maintaining batteries and chargers; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabrication issues; reading schematics and manuals; using hand tools and precision measuring devices; complying with OSHA safety standards; and working in a physical, potentially noisy environment with lifting and protective gear. Salary starts at $22.50/hour (annualized to $46,800) for 2nd shift (Tuesday-Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM). The position requires mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills and related maintenance duties in a warehouse setting.
Required Qualifications
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include routine preventative maintenance on mechanical handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, etc.)
- document maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- select repair parts and update parts records
- repair mechanical damage, welding/brazing/soldering
- maintenance of batteries and chargers
- troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication
- read schematics and manuals
- use mechanical hand tools and measuring tools
- comply with OSHA Safety regulations
- physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs, up to 100 lbs occasionally
- work in noisy environments and wear protective gear
