Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and modify sheet metal parts and complex aerospace assemblies to exacting standards using equipment such as press brakes, punch presses, drill motors, and grinders. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings from work orders with high accuracy, perform inspections with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure adherence to strict quality standards, identify and troubleshoot non-conformance and adjust machinery/techniques to achieve defined results, and maintain safety and cleanliness in a structured work area. The role requires five years of aerospace sheet metal fabrication experience, proficient reading of engineering drawings, and operation of large and small sheet metal machinery (press brakes, rivet machines, notchers, milling machines). Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a moderate-noise environment with airborne particles and chemicals. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; advanced training in sheet metal fabrication or aerospace manufacturing preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace sheet metal fabrication or related field
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in operating sheet metal machinery including press brakes, rivet machines, notchers, and milling machines
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a moderate-noise environment with exposure to airborne particles and chemicals
