Job Summary
Change over molding machines and automation according to production schedule, ensuring equipment functions under normal operating conditions and meets operational specifications. Troubleshoot machines to bring production back online with limited direction, following 5S guidelines and lock out tag out procedures while documenting repairs for traceability. Use overhead cranes and walk-behind lifts to transport molds and finished parts, and operate dryers or vacuum systems as needed. Perform operator duties during mold changes and utilize measurement tools like micrometers and gauges to check part quality. Requires 1-3 years of injection molding experience and proficiency with Arburg, Engel, Krausse Maffei, Yaskawa, and Kuka robots.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Injection Molding Process
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measurement tools
- Familiarity with metric measuring systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong logical hands-on problem solving skills
- Technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use overhead cranes for setting molds into injection molding machines
- Ability to operate walk-behind lifts for transporting molds to and from injection molding machines
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Pushing and pulling up to 35 lbs using material handling equipment
- Constant walking, handling and using fingers
- Frequent standing and reaching outward
- Occasional reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling and bending
- Injection Molding Experience
- Blow Molding Experience
Desired Qualifications
- Some familiarity with automation plastic injection processes in Arburg, Krausse Maffei, Yaskawa and Kuka Robots
- 1-3 yrs knowledge of running Injection Molding Machine Equipment
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Understanding of basic measuring using micrometers, dial indicators and go/no-go gauges to check quality of produced parts
- Understand how to use Motan Dryer/Vacuum System and change material when necessary
