Job Summary
Oversee hands-on sanitation for the entire processing plant, including rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, and sanitizing equipment such as pre-loaders, loaders, orientator tables, spools, washers, dirt detectors, crack detectors, scales, dryers, transfer units, packers, drop brushes, and floor surfaces. Lead a team of 10-15 employees in executing daily hygiene sweeps, waste removal, and end-of-shift tool organization while strictly adhering to GMPs, HACCP requirements, and food safety logs. Report any non-conformances or safety issues immediately to supervisors. Requires 3+ years in a processing environment, supervisory experience, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Monday through Friday shifts, 4:00 PM start, up to 12 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Extended periods of up to 12 to 14 hours of standing and walking
- Frequent repetitive reaching motion with both arms
- Frequent grasping with hands and fingers
- Frequent bending and stooping
- Ability to keep up in fast-paced environment
- On time punctuality and good attendance
- Always where PPE's when handling and using any chemicals (safety glass' and gloves are the minimum)
- Comply with all food safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and process efficiencies
- Report any food safety issues to any Plant Manager
- Follow all workplace safety procedures per safety training
- Complete all daily sanitation logs
- Put all cleaning supplies and tools away at the end of each shift
- Comply with Food Safety and GMP requirements at all times
- Any and all other duties as assigned
- All issues or non-conformances related to quality assurance or food safety must immediately be reported to the Quality Assurance Supervisor or departmental supervisor/manager for communication with the Quality Assurance Manager
- Monday through Friday
- Shifts up to 8 - 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
- Typical start time: 4:00 PM
- Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
- Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
