Job Summary
Follow established sanitation schedules to sweep, mop, and clean designated warehouse and office areas while removing debris and maintaining restrooms and breakrooms. Safely operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and trash compactors, monitoring supplies and reporting tool issues promptly. Comply with OSHA and HazCom standards when handling chemicals, support facility audits, and assist with light maintenance tasks or peak period duties as directed. Work on the 2nd shift Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM at a high-volume logistics center, wearing required PPE including steel-toed shoes and high-visibility vests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent – or equivalent relevant experience.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Comfort working at elevations up to 25 feet, when required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Experience using basic tools and equipment.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or support for work authorization.
- This role may be performed on-site only.
- This position requires the physical ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours, depending on shift).
- This position requires the physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
- This position requires the physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds at various heights including ground-level and racking zones frequently.
- This position requires the physical ability to reach with hands and arms overhead and below waist level.
- This position requires the physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- This position requires the physical ability to occasionally lift heavier items with or without assistance.
- This position requires the physical ability to use fine motor skills/manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, or keyboards.
- This position requires the physical ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or control objects.
- This position requires the physical ability to see clearly at close range and at distance, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This position requires the physical ability to hear and understand verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment signals in a noisy environment.
- The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial, or warehouse environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations in a 3PL or distribution environment.
