2nd Shift Rework Technician

Job Summary

Conduct precision rework on QFN components, RF amplifiers, and products with extensive ground planes using hot plates and hot-air tools to maintain solder joint integrity. Perform in-process and self-inspection while hand soldering components, wires, and jumpers into assemblies per IPC-610 standards. Assemble and solder electronic components to printed circuit boards, including MMIC die attach with silver epoxy and hybrid circuit assemblies. Utilize miniaturized hand tools under a microscope for delicate assembly, read detailed process sheets and drawings, and handle ESD-sensitive materials. Follow verbal and written instructions, maintain organized work areas per OSHA standards, and support continuous improvement teams alongside development engineering. Work 3PM to 11:30 PM with shift differential eligibility.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • US citizen
  • government security clearance
  • Class 3 soldering skills per IPC-610
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions/documentation
  • Commitment to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work 8 hours under the microscope utilizing miniaturized hand tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers
  • In-process inspection and self-inspection
  • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets, prints and drawings
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Good computer skills
  • Dexterity, eye - hand coordination for assembly using a variety of tools and or equipment according to specifications/process
  • Handle of ESD sensitive material and equipment
  • Willing to be cross-trained and perform other related duties as required
  • Demonstrate a keen awareness of safety practices and familiarity with OSHA standards
  • Ensure work areas are kept neat, clean, and organized per company guideline
  • Must maintain a very good attendance record
  • Must be a US citizen
  • government security clearance is required
  • Current clearance holder preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years working as a Micro assembly/Mechanical assembly preferred or related experience
  • A diploma from a Vocational High School or Technical Diploma
  • Current clearance holder
