Job Summary
Conduct daily receiving operations by operating powered equipment to transport labeled freight from the dock to storage or shipment areas. Complete safety checklists, maintain inventory accuracy through RF device scanning, and replenish modules with undamaged merchandise while tracking individual productivity via the Daily Activity Log. Remove empty pallets, stage freight in correct slot locations, and report discrepancies regarding merchandise, license numbers, or damaged racks to management. Adhere to all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and work in a non-climate-controlled distribution center environment. This role involves shift work with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays in a warehouse setting where lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays
- Associate will work in a non-climate-controlled Distribution or Warehouse atmosphere
- Associate may also be exposed to or work in a restricted space, fumes and airborne particles, as regulated by OSHA
- Associate must be able to operate all types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) equipment
- Associate will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements
- These tasks require the ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- The Associate must be able to perform frequent lifting, twisting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation
- The Associate must be able to be fully aware of his/her surroundings at all times and to safely operate equipment in a distribution center environment
- Associate must also be able to work safely at heights of up to 50 feet in the air
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
- Familiarity with distribution center processes and workflow preferred
- Three to six months experience operating PIT is preferred
