Job Summary
Supervise, direct, and coordinate all activities for the manufacturing department to drive safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Optimize workforce planning and manpower requirements daily while holding subordinates accountable for safety, process, and code of conduct standards. Execute operational budgets, manage preventative maintenance coordination, and conduct yearly performance evaluations. Lead non-routine tasks such as snow removal and back shifts, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and zero lost time accidents. Requires 10 years of chemical industry experience and strong problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience in chemical industry
- Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills to resolve equipment, component, scheduling, quality, safety, and personnel issues and concerns
- Relevant computer systems proficiency in a manufacturing environment as well as with standard desk top computer software applications
Desired Qualifications
- College education preferred
- Preferably in coating and finishing technologies, including web processing
- 5 years' experience as supervisor in chemical industry preferred
