Job Summary
Set up, run, and troubleshoot Level One machines including equipment feeders, slitters, slotters, and balers while reading job specifications for adjustments and material requirements. Retrieve and stage ink, tooling, and material to match production specs, then adjust tension controls, select blades, and align stops according to order specifications. Stack and feed corrugated material, observe operations for defects, and perform quality inspections by measuring product dimensions. Remove scrap, complete work orders, and perform minor maintenance like oiling and housekeeping while adhering to safety rules and ISO procedures. Operate Monday through Friday from 2:45pm to 11:15pm at the Quick Turn Department in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available for 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday from 2:45pm – 11:15pm
- Must be able to perform physical and manual labor of a general character and simple nature
- Must be able to effectively set-up, run, and trouble shoot Level One machines
- Must be able to follow safe operating procedures and all safety rules and guidelines
- Must be able to select, install, set, position and align stops, guides, rolls, and blades
- Must be able to adjust tension controls according to size, thickness and number of corrugated sheets
- Must be able to stack and feed corrugated material
- Must be able to observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctions
- Must be able to adjust settings and controls on Level One machines as required
- Must be able to measure product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
- Must be able to remove cut pieces and scrap from product, die or bed of machine
- Must be able to count, stack, strip, mark, band and transport finished product
- Must be able to complete work orders and print load tags
- Must be able to perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling of machines
- Must be able to perform general housekeeping duties
- Must be able to evaluate area operations and recommend improvement
- Must be able to participate in area meetings
- Must be able to perform job costing and inventory transactions
- Must be able to perform a variety of miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned
