Job Summary
Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to handle materials for shipping and receiving inventory and customer orders. Unload inbound stock shipments and load outbound trucks, ensuring proper chaining, tarping, and completion of all necessary paperwork. Interpret measuring devices and understand product color coding and customer specifications. Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations. This role requires a minimum of two years of overhead crane experience, valid certification, and DOT regulations knowledge. Applicants must demonstrate dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
- Valid certification to operate overhead cranes
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 months of related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new skills and train others
- Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Demonstrated reliable work history
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks
