Job Summary
Direct daily activities of the warehouse operations, including labor scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment and manpower. Responsibilities include staffing, warehouse operations, implementing safety, security, housekeeping and sanitation programs and customer service. Duties include developing and directing programs for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations, planning production and administrative activities, forecasting labor needs, recommending improvements (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce costs, coordinating with Facility Management, and monitoring volumes to meet requirements. Requires five years of warehousing management experience, a bachelor’s degree (preferred), and strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Word/Outlook/Excel (SAP a plus) and a proven track record in continuous improvement are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of management experience in warehousing
- Bachelor degree in business discipline or manufacturing preferred
- Strong customer orientation and problem solving skills
- Proven proficiency in a production environment
- Successful track record in leadership and supervising the work of subordinates
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement
- Computer skills - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (SAP is a plus)
- Prioritization and planning skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be team oriented
- Self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
