Job Summary
Maintenance Refrigeration Technician responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing plant refrigeration systems and related areas, while upholding safety and Tyson policies. Tasks include mechanical refrigeration and electrical duties, adjustments and repairs; operate ammonia systems and handle related equipment; understand ammonia refrigeration operation and control valves; read blueprints; use basic hand/power tools; troubleshoot pumps, valves, and compressors; apply basic AC/DC electrical theory; basic welding/fabrication; work in extreme environments; required to be PFT-cleared and HAZMAT SCBA-trained.
Required Qualifications
- 6 MONTHS industrial maintenance experience
- industrial refrigeration experience a plus
- Ability to pass and maintain a PFT (pulmonary function test)
- Must be a member of the HAZMAT team
- Able to use and train in SCBA
- Must remain clean shaven at all times
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, turn, climb, push, pull, carry 50+ pounds
- Willingness to work holidays and weekends
- Relocation not required for this role
