Job Summary
Inspect fiberglass molds for cracks, surface defects, wear, and damage, then perform repairs using resins, fiberglass mat, and tooling gel materials. Grind and sand mold repairs to meet specifications, apply mold release agents, and conduct preventative maintenance including gasket replacement and gelcoat preparation. Clean molds to remove buildup and residue, maintain inventory of repair supplies, and document all repair work and maintenance activities. Adhere to Jupiter Bach and OSHA safety rules, including respirator use and strict area organization, while supporting production schedules by completing repairs timely. This 2nd shift role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in hot, humid, and cold environments, and operating various hand and power tools for 4+ hours per shift.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to use power and hand tools in a safe manner 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
