Job Summary
Mark parts and assemblies using laser marking, chemical etching, stamping, engraving, and other approved processes in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and work instructions. Verify correct part identification, serial numbers, logos, and traceability information while inspecting completed work for compliance with quality standards. Read blueprints and manufacturing instructions, maintain accurate production logs, and handle parts carefully to prevent damage. Follow all quality procedures, 5S standards, and safety requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures products are properly identified and finished prior to shipment at Teledyne Technologies Incorporated.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds rarely
- Good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands and arms
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of manufacturing, production, or assembly experience
- Experience performing part marking using laser marking, engraving, chemical etching, stamping, or similar identification methods
- Experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with serial number control, traceability requirements, and customer-specific marking requirements
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems and basic Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies
- Demonstrated ability to follow standardized processes and maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, optics, precision machining, or electro-mechanical manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Experience with marking equipment, engraving tools, chemical etching, or related manufacturing processes
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment
