2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing production machinery to minimize downtime. Take control of breakdowns and execute plans for continued improvement of machine safety and general housekeeping. Respond quickly to maintenance requests, prioritize effectively, and work with crews and machine operators to determine root causes of mechanical issues. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to resolve accident prevention forms and maintain organization of the maintenance shop inventory.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular consistent basis
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Must be fully computer literate with Microsoft environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery
- Ability to use shop tools and equipment, drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch
- A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- A strong trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude
