Job Summary
2nd Shift Maintenance Technician needed for rotating 12-hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM) in Faribault, MN, on a contract or direct-hire basis. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing production equipment across pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; performing preventive maintenance and inspections; diagnosing issues on motors, pumps, cylinders, conveyors, and production systems; supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve uptime, reliability, and efficiency; maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic-driven controls; welding, fabrication, and machining as needed; reading electrical schematics and maintaining maintenance records in CMMS; collaborating with production, quality, and operations teams; and following food safety, GMP, USDA, and safety procedures. Requires 1-3 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work on motors/conveyors/pumps, experience reading schematics, and preferred food manufacturing experience and technical degree or industrial maintenance training. Onsite environment with uniforms, tool reimbursement after 60 days, overtime opportunities, and a USDA-regulated setting with pre-employment drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
- Strong troubleshooting experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to repair and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, and related production equipment
- Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Technical degree or industrial maintenance training preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
- USDA-regulated environment requiring pre-employment drug screening, including THC testing
