Job Summary
Maintenance Technician to support reliable plant operations by maintaining and repairing CNC machinery, automated production equipment, and facility systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance. Duties cover CNC machine troubleshooting (lathes, grinders, hones), maintaining automation systems with robots, sensors, vision systems, drives, and motion controls, performing preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, maintaining facility systems (compressed air, HVAC, lighting, basic plumbing and electrical), general building maintenance, accurate documentation in maintenance systems, identifying recurring issues and implementing corrective actions, collaborating with operations and engineering, and participating in continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, uptime, and cost reduction. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably with CNC and automated equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment failures efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Experience with industrial automation components including sensors, drives, PLCs, servo systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical & technical aptitude, understanding of tools, equipment, ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to balance planned maintenance tasks alongside urgent, unexpected repair requests.
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience will be considered.
