Job Summary
Execute continuous improvement plans for plant equipment utilization by managing preventative and predictive maintenance across primary and ancillary systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled devices while monitoring utility performance and rectifying deviations. Lead maintenance department labor, ensuring first-line compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Train team members on safety, orientation, and operational procedures. Work the 2nd shift (12pm-8:30pm) with weekend and holiday availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience with electro-mechanical, pneumatics, PLC controllers, and process instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Self motivated individual
- Ability to work well with others and be a team member
- Safe work habits
- Ability to train others
- Enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Weekend and holiday availability
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related technical field
- 5 years in-depth experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration and steam boiler systems
- Supplemented by formal education courses
- Demonstrated communication, technical skills and supervisor/management experience
- Previous budget management responsibilities
