Job Summary
Operate corrugated packaging machinery on the second shift from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm, Monday through Friday, maintaining safety standards and quality output. Interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and order specifications while performing calculations in whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning to troubleshoot equipment and transition between tasks on short notice. Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in a safety-sensitive environment. Flexible to working weekends and overtime when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure, manuals and order specifications
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Mechanical and spatial aptitude
- Attention to detail, accuracy and quality
- Ability to move from task/assignment to another on short notice
- Flexible to working weekends and over time when needed
- Safety sensitive position capability
