Job Summary
2nd Shift Line Leader leads a dedicated assembly cell on the back-end production process, coordinating and tracking production activities to meet daily FG/WIP/Kanban requirements and ensuring adherence to the production plan with a focus on continuous improvement. The role involves supervising and developing team members, training and cross-training, holding Kaizen meetings to identify throughput and efficiency improvements, resolving issues related to rejected material with quality teams, and ensuring on-time output and shipment of products. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills, with oversight of IPC standards, quality conformance, resource allocation, and coordination with supporting functions. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and basic soldering/inspection skills are advantageous, as is experience in electronics manufacturing and a track record of supervisory leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- two to five years related work experience
- Post-Secondary Degree, preferred
- Advanced knowledge of electronic components
- Minimum 3 years electronic assembly experience or equivalent in manufacturing of other products
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Good computer skills: experience in using an ERP or MRP; MS Office proficiency
- Basic soldering and quality inspection skills with reference to IPC standards
