Job Summary
Lead Production Line Lead I on the 2nd shift, supervising and coaching a line of 4 to 11 operators to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. Responsible for staffing, productivity, safety, quality, and adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and cleanliness standards to maintain audit readiness. Acts as primary liaison between Line Operators and Shift Supervision; tasks include monitoring performance, updating productivity boards, coordinating with maintenance for line issues, supporting inventory control with Oracle, and promoting continuous improvement and Lean initiatives at the line level. Demonstrates safety leadership, trains and supports operators, oversees shift handoffs, and escalates issues to ensure quality and production targets are met.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production setting
- Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and safety requirements
- Basic computer skills and ability to use production and inventory systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (8–12 hours)
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Manufacturing experience required
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
