Job Summary
Lead the 2nd shift team by delivering daily production goals, conducting safety and quality control checks, and ensuring 100% shop cleanliness. Handle materials using forklifts and telehandlers while troubleshooting problems independently, as no support is available on this shift. Secure the facility and hold the team accountable to quality standards and production targets. Read blueprints and use basic hand tools to maintain high-quality output. This working lead position requires self-motivation, flexibility for rapid schedule changes, and the ability to lift 50 lbs frequently. Training occurs on the 1st shift for 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership and ability to hold your team accountable
- Trouble shooting/problem solver
- Must be able to read blueprints/drawings
- Self-motivated: stay on task without supervision
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently
- Must be flexible as things can change rapidly
- Must be able to lead the team to deliver daily production goals
- Ensure 100% safety and cleanliness of the shop
- Hold team accountable to production goals and quality standards
- Handle materials and products, various means; Forklift, telehandler lift
- Maintain high level of quality: work with Quality on reporting defects and help to continue to make improvements
- Work off the schedule provided by the Manager and hit daily/monthly production goals
- Trouble shoot/problem solve, there is no support on this shift. You will need to be able to work through problems with minimal support
- Secure the facility
- Great work ethic and lead by example
- Use of basic hand tools: drills, drivers, tape measures
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual - Spanish is preferred
