2nd Shift Lathe Machinist

Job Summary
Setup and operate Multus lathe machines to perform turning, drilling, threading, and boring operations based on blueprints and engineering designs. Select cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job while monitoring operations to ensure quality and make necessary adjustments. Inspect finished parts for conformance with specifications and troubleshoot machine-related issues to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety regulations. This role includes a 10% shift premium and paid lunch breaks for second shift employees. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience setting up and operating Multus lathe machines
- Strong math skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be available for 1st and 2nd shift availability
