Job Summary
Laboratory Technician, Level I on 2nd shift responsible for generating high quality data using laboratory instruments while following work instructions. Performs instrument maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and supports the quality system through procedures and audits. Uses LIMS and software tools (ECI, ADI, HRN, JIRA, Verse, Yammer) to manage data, paperwork, and sample history. Maintains safety practices with PPE and required training, supports Lean improvements and Kaizen initiatives, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and adheres to attendance, training, and quality requirements. Requires a GED or high school diploma and readiness to work the 4:00pm-12:30am shift; OSHA/HAZMAT PPE training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma required or 3 total years of service at POLARIS Laboratories in the Laboratory Assistant position
- Current on all mandatory POLARIS training (Core Document Training) at the end of the 90 day period
- Internal candidates have gone 12 months with no written warnings
- A satisfactory 90 day review is on file, successfully meeting the requirements of the Lab Apprentice position
