Job Summary
Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment and identifying root causes while performing repairs on motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment. Complete preventative maintenance (PMs) to minimize downtime, handle electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and disassemble or rebuild equipment with defective parts. Use shop equipment like lathes, drill presses, and grinders to test and validate machine performance after repairs. This role is 80% PMs and 20% repair work within a stable manufacturing environment in Northwest Dayton, OH.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical + basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with hand tools and metalworking equipment
- Preventative maintenance experience
- High school diploma or GED required
Desired Qualifications
- Maintenance apprenticeship or technical training
