Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role focused on repairing and performing preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems. Responsibilities include equipment repairs, executing preventative maintenance, training with associates, documenting maintenance activities, coordinating with contractors, tracking major parts, maintaining 5S in the facility, and working with the team to improve equipment efficiency. Tiered responsibilities span from entry-level to senior technician, including electrical and welding tasks, PLC knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with others. Requires willingness to work off-shifts and weekends, rotate on-call duties, and wear protective gear as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics
- Good analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and independently as needed
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work with chemicals
- Ability to wear a respirator, work in a confined space, follow lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Willing to certify on forklift
- Must actively participate in discussions of equipment, repair, and process improvements
- Must work in a safe and professional manner at all times
- Willing to work off-shifts and weekends when needed; willing to rotate on-call duties with team
- 5S housekeeping responsibilities
- Coordinate with contractors on repairs from start to finish
- Complete all documentation as scheduled
- Assist in tracking major/key parts for repairs
- Tiered responsibilities indicating progression from Assistant to Senior Technician
- Proficient with battery tools and PLC circuit knowledge
- Ability to read electrical blueprints
- Mentor and lead team members
- Improve equipment efficiency
