Job Summary
Oversee human resources operations during assigned shifts, serving as the primary HR contact to address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and guide staff on policies. Coordinate recruitment efforts, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding while monitoring attendance and leave requests. Facilitate performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training initiatives to support workforce development. Ensure compliance with employment laws and safety standards by leading incident investigations, conducting safety walk-throughs, and chairing the Quarterly Safety Committee. Prepare HR reports on headcount and turnover for site leadership. Promote employee engagement programs and communicate updates on benefits and workplace practices. This role reports directly to the Site HR Manager at the processing plant site.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, workplace safety, and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous HR experience in manufacturing, food processing, or similar industrial environment preferred
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus
