Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect and process specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient information and process billing information and payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
