2nd Shift Groundsperson

Job Summary
Perform plant maintenance, keep work areas clean including catwalks and walkways, and follow all MSHA and H&K safety policies. Proactively learn plant functions and operations, obtain necessary knowledge to complete assigned tasks, and cross-train to substitute for other jobs as needed. Work in a team with all site personnel, take direction from supervisors, and fit test while utilizing appropriate PPE. This role supports production and maintenance during the second shift at Douglassville Quarry, a division of H&K Group, Inc., supplying construction aggregate to the southern Berks, Montgomery, and Chester County, PA region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Willing and able to work a second shift schedule
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ months related experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong preference for Loader operation experience
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- MSHA or other relevant safety certification
