Job Summary
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, extract carpets, and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms to maintain daily facility cleanliness. Remove trash, recycle, polish entryway areas, wash windows, and clean desks, walls, furniture, and light fixtures as directed by the custodial supervisor. Manage snow and ice removal and perform any other assigned duties while working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail. This 2nd shift role is part of HES's educational facilities management program, reporting to an Account Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Background check required
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
- Excellent work history
Desired Qualifications
- High school degree preferred, but not required
- Previous cleaning experience a plus
