Job Summary
Perform operations and safety checks on equipment before signing out and operating lift trucks, including lock-out and tag-out procedures. Safely move, load, and unload products or stack them to assigned areas, including manually lifting and stacking boxes in the shipping area. Identify damages, report shortages or quality deficiencies, and inspect machinery to determine repair needs while guaranteeing safety through regular maintenance. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines to help maintain a safe and orderly environment, assisting in other departments as needed. This role requires a minimum of two years forklift operator experience and involves lifting 50 lbs during a Monday through Friday shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years forklift operator experience
- Manufacturing experience
- A high school diploma or GED
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent coordination
- Understanding of storage and control systems
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/handle objects on a routine basis
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for Monday through Friday schedule
- Must be available for 2:00pm-10:30pm schedule
- Must be able to work in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity
