2nd shift Fiber Optic Test Operator

Job Summary
Set up, calibrate, and operate state-of-the-art optical testing equipment to perform insertion loss, return loss, and geometric testing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic products. Interpret test results to identify defects or anomalies, then document data accurately in manufacturing execution systems and prepare detailed test reports for root cause analysis. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Shipping teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This role requires frequent standing and working under magnification in an ESD-controlled manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic testing, manufacturing, or a related electronics/optics field
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and comfort working with delicate glass fibers under magnification (microscopes)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail with solid data entry and documentation skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MES systems
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
