2nd Shift Experienced Laser Operator

Job Summary
Align and secure materials on the laser cutting table, then load and interpret CAD files into the machine interface. Adjust power, speed, and focus settings based on material type and thickness while operating CNC equipment to cut or engrave parts. Inspect components for dimensional compliance, perform daily equipment checks, and clean lenses and nozzles to maintain integrity. Conduct routine maintenance, ensure safety barriers and ventilation systems function properly, and monitor fume extraction airflow. Track material usage, maintain accurate job logs, and document maintenance activities or downtime. Troubleshoot minor machine errors and adjust cutting parameters to achieve desired results while following all safety policies. Train other employees as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating CO2 or Fiber CNC laser‐cutting machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and flat print drawings
- Forklift experience
- Knowledge of CNC processes and metal fabrication concepts
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measures, calipers, basic hand tools, and air tools
- Ability to regularly lift/move 25 lbs
- Ability to frequently lift/move 50 lbs
- Ability to occasionally lift/move 100 lbs with assistance
