Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical equipment supporting E-Coat, Dip Spin, and Zinc Plating systems. Performs PMs on all equipment (including forklifts), troubleshoots electrical/mechanical issues, supports robotics/automation, motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, sensors, wiring, and control systems, assists with PLC-related tasks, conducts tank maintenance, identifies root causes of failures, and contributes to process-improvement and equipment-reliability initiatives. Documents maintenance activities, collaborates with production/quality/management, and adheres to safety protocols (PPE, LOTO, confined space). Requires the ability to stand, lift 25–50 lbs (occasional >50 lbs), and work overtime/weekends as needed. Training on 1st shift for 1–2 months is available; schedule is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Location: Pioneer, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year electro-mechanical or maintenance experience
- Forklift experience (1+ year)
- Basic PLC or automation concepts (preferred)
- Understanding of safety practices (LOTO, confined space)
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Team-oriented with good communication
