Job Summary
Maintain diesel equipment by completing inspections, preventive maintenance, and adjustments to correct vehicle deficiencies. Troubleshoot reported problems using diagnostic tests and test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions, then rebuild and replace hydraulic components, hoses, brakes, and tires as needed. Perform lockout/tagout procedures and maintain all relevant work records to ensure safety and reliability. Work in adverse conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow to repair equipment and vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid Class A, B, or C Driver's license
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Minimum of 1-year experience inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trucks and stationary equipment
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including frequent lifting of heavy components, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing and consistent standing, walking and grasping
- This job operators in both, garage/shop conditions, and outside of the shop which may include various weather conditions
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including a drug screen
- Must be available for 2nd Shift hours of 12 pm to 10 pm
