Job Summary
Custodian on the 2nd shift responsible for maintaining the school facility in a condition of operating excellence, operating efficiency, cleanliness, and safety. Duties include keeping the building and premises neat and safe, moving furniture/equipment as directed, ensuring building security, submitting online work requests, complying with OSHA health and safety standards, reporting safety concerns, completing tasks promptly and professionally, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, tools, and equipment for building and boiler maintenance, ability to learn district systems, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work in a district environment. Reports to Lead Custodian and supports district facilities goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED), required.
- Valid MN driver's license.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force.
- Experience with personal computers and software and the ability to learn district systems.
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in building and boiler maintenance and building automation systems.
- Demonstrated customer and human relations skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
